"SKOOKUM" 30-Metre Vehicular Ferry
YEAR: 2005
Blakely Pacific Limited will shortly receive their 30 metre vehicular ferry. Construction on this project commenced in earnest in February 2005 for this ferry which is designed to carry 2 fully loaded logging trucks and trailers as well as 5 utility vehicles. The ferry will operate between Matakana Island and Port of Tauranga.
The name "SKOOKUM" meaning "Very Strong" is derived from Canadian Indian. |
